My TOY: iGuard

Finally, remote surveillance technology for the rest of us. The small networked camera streams live images over the Internet without being hooked up to a computer. Log in and you can even pan and tilt the camera through your web browser.

And the set-up is a snap. Within 10 minutes, I established a surveillance post at the office, creeping out my co-workers by tracking their every move. So I relocated my experiment to my mansion. Logging into the camera from work, I can confirm that house cats really do sleep all day.

What else is the iGuard good for besides spying on unsuspecting house pets? For the security-conscious, you can set it to send you an e-mail when it detects motion. Or just open it to all and give the world a view out your window.
