Location On the north bank of Lake Massawippi, this 1898 house is a 90-minute drive from Montreal. Cuisine Roland Ménard’s dishes use the freshest local produce, and there are two tables of Quebec cheeses. Dinner is enhanced by sommelier Michael Otaka’s wine suggestions, a pianist and superb lake views. Thing to do In winter, you can skate, cross-country ski, snowshoe and ice-fish; in summer, discover the area on the resort’s Larson speedboat. (More than half the wooded shoreline is uninhabited.)
