Dave Bidini’s books include Tropic of Hockey and Around the World in 571/2 Gigs. The CBC called Bidini, a founding band member of the Rheostatics, “the poet laureate of punk rock and hockey pucks.” |

Mark Kingwell is a professor of philosophy at the University of Toronto and the author of 10 books of political and cultural theory. His newest book, Concrete Reveries: Consciousness and the City, is out this month. |

Linda Spalding is co-editor of the literary journal Brick and, most recently, the author of the novel Who Named the Knife. She lives in Toronto with her husband, Michael Ondaatje, a past CBC Literary Award winner. |

Eighteen Poems, Phil Hall’s first book, was published in 1973. Since then, Hall has been shortlisted for both a Governor General’s Literary Award and the Griffin Poetry Prize. His recent work includes the long poem White Porcupine. |

Winnipeg-born, Saskatoon-based Sylvia Legris won the Griffin Poetry Prize and the Pat Lowther Memorial Award for her poetry collection Nerve Squall. Her other books include Iridium Seeds and Circuitry of Veins. |

Di Brandt’s most recent book is So this is the world & here I am in it. Twice shortlisted for a Governor General’s Literary Award, Brandt holds Brandon University’s Canada Research Chair in Literature and Creative Writing. |
