The new Olympus is a stealthy little thing; you couldn’t pick it out of a lineup of digital cameras. But toss them all into a filled bathtub, and only the Olympus comes back alive. Waterproof up to three metres and drop proof up to 1 1 / 2 metres, it’s perfect for clumsy people – even at the beach.

As a digital camera, it does everything I expected; it takes pics, does videos and has a bunch of settings, all at 7.1 megapixels. Since most people still aren’t used to waterproof cameras without a casing, there is also good practical joke potential for it “accidentally” slipping into a glass of water.
