THE STORYTELLERS

You can hear the road under your wheels in Stompin’ Tom’s stories about everyday Canadiana. Kathleen Edwards updates the themes – no "Bud the Spud" for her – and achieves international acclaim with the likes of Rolling Stone magazine for her major label debut, Failer. And then Halifax’s Buck 65 takes the same ideas but goes a bit… loco, adding hip hop to a country/ folk mix. This music is building a national mythology. These are big-time tunes for a big country.
