THE CROONERS
Matt Dusk singing on Two Shots evokes the smoke-ringed, satin-lapelled ambience of the Rat Pack era. (Is it a coincidence that one song on the record was originally written for Frank Sinatra?) Fitting, then, that on the Vegas-filmed reality TV series The Casino, Dusk is the lounge singer. Just down the Vegas Strip, the original baby-faced crooner, Paul Anka, still holds a standing gig. (Was it really 47 years ago that the teenaged Anka first hit the charts with "Diana"?) Make room: There’s a new kid in town.
