THE POPULISTS
Theyre two boy bands with girls in the middle. But the similarities between current Quebecois darlings Les Cowboys Fringants and 1970s pop-rock legends Beau Dommage dont end there. Both groups write vividly descriptive real-life lyrics, inspire legions of loyal fans and have scored big across the pond. Beau Dommage used to sell out the old Montreal Forum? Well, the Cowboys recently did the same at the Bell Centre. Passing the torch? Not when both teams are still in the running.
