THE SONGWRITERS
Never underestimate the power of words. In 1978, singer Dan Hill wrote the enduring Sensitive Guy anthem "Sometimes When We Touch," and his lyrical honesty was almost too much. Similarly, Carolyn Dawn Johnson is a country crooner whose original calling card was songwriting when she arrived in Nashville a decade ago. Both are prolific writers whose talents with a turn of phrase and a musical hook have been immortalized by artists like Céline Dion, Rod Stewart and Chely Wright. Someone tell Barry Manilow Hill and Johnson write the songs.
