My TOY: SoundBridge

All of my music is stored on my desktop computer, but what if I want to be serenaded in the bedroom? I don’t want to lug my computer around – it’s quite happy on my desk. The Roku SoundBridge solves the problem. I can set it up anywhere in the house and remotely access my computer’s music library and Internet radio stations. Bonus points for its sleek look.
And, it’s easy to use. Hook it into your home network (wireless or Ethernet) and start browsing your music library. If you preprogram online radio stations, you can tune in even when your computer isn’t on. (There’s also the SoundBridge Radio model, with an alarm clock, an AM/FM radio and all the features of the original.) And because the SB works with most formats (iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc.), the only problem you’ll have is deciding what song comes next.
SoundBridge M1000 $235
SoundBridge Radio $465
