The BGL collective has its sights set a bit further than the backyard garden. After two exhibitions at Reford Gardens’ International Garden Festival in Quebec and a host of projects around the world, artists Nicolas Laverdière, Jasmin Bilodeau and Sébastien Giguère are currently at work on a commission for a hospital emergency wing.

“We want our installations to represent the recreational rapport between humans and nature. The garden is an opportunity to offer experiences that involve the body. Our works allow us to comment on the world we live in. Gardens today are about more than just plants.”
